Romantic/Sexual Concerns

Romance and Sex are two of the most common themes brought up in Individual and Couples Therapy...

Yet, everyone has a different view on Romance and Sex.   For some people, the two are intimately intertwined. For others, they are separate and distinct concepts, having little connection to one another.  

Similarly, not everyone values sexual intimacy the same way. For some, the idea of giving/receiving sexual pleasure is a very "sacred" act, ultimately resulting in procreation and, thus, should be taken seriously. For others, sex has more secular and recreational connotations, including fantasy and fetish.

Either way, these are very private matters for most people. Your session should be a place where you, and your loved one, can address these concerns in an honest, respectful and nurturing way, free from judgment or shame.  As such, you deserve a therapist who is knowledgeable, open, and experienced in discussing such sensitive topics.
